Held at West Lakes on Saturday 28 February, our annual regatta was a great day in competition, spirit and presentation. The weather started off fine and clear but, predictably, strong winds took over in the afternoon.
Our best results:
- Paul, Wayne, Snook and Dave winning the masters men’s coxed four
- Dave and Wayne winning the masters men’s double scull
- Bev, Sue, Helen, Chilli, Kevin, Snook, Bruce and John winning the masters mixed eight and the Keystone Cup
- Aaron, Paul, Dave and Wayne winning the masters men’s coxed quad scull
Special mention also to
- Peter and Colin coming a good second in the masters men’s coxless pair as an H grade crew
- Lauren and Claire coming, respectively, second and third in the schoolgirl year 9 single scull
- Del, Chrissy, Alison and Lil coming second in the masters women’s coxed four
- Helen and Paul coming second in the masters mixed double scull
- Bruce, John, Kevin, Aaron, Snook, Wayne, Paul and Dave coming second by a whisker in the masters men’s eight
- Angela, Kathy, Liz, Ann, Del, Chrissy, Alison, and Lil coming second in the masters women’s eight
